Congratulations! What an exciting journey you are about to embark on. If you are enrolled in the LG Medical Plan, the birth of a child is will be covered short-term disability as this is consider a medical condition.
For an approved disability, the company will pay 60% of your pre-disability weekly pay up to a maximum of $2,500 per week
After short-term disability ends, you may be eligible for benefits under our Paid Parental Leave Program.
This program gives our employees an opportunity to bond with their child. Eligible employees can take up to 8 weeks of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period. Leave is paid at 100% of the employee’s base rate of pay.
*Pay will be offset by state paid family leave benefits where applicable.
